First of all, be absolutely certain that you want to have an email address exposed here. Spammers use robots called "spiders" that crawl over the web looking for fresh addresses. Because anyone can read these pages, the spiders can too.

Just enter the email address exactly as you would in an email client. SMF automatically converts email addresses to links like this: fred@example.com.

The same is true for URLs. Just enter them (without any surrounding angle brackets) and SMF automatically converts them to links like this:
