Hey guys.

well. its that time of the year for me.  i made a similar post like this about a year ago, and got some good replies from a few of you.

once again i ask.  if anyone has any "legacy" macintosh or apple II systems or disks or w/e laying around that they wanna either sell or give away, i'm more then happy to take it off your hands.  i've saved many many macs from landfills.  they don't belong there.  i love restoring these old systems and then putting them in my collection!!

hope to hear from a few of you!
thanks in advance
mike.

I don't have anything lying around but have a lead:
earlier this week, I saw a PowerMacintosh G3 'All-In-One' (266MHz) for sale. Weird "missing link' design between classic Mac and iMac.. This was at the Salvation Army thrift store at Innes/Jeanne d'Arc in Orleans. They quoted $50.

i saw that too when i went there yesterday to do my "rounds".  way to over-priced, and it probably doesn't even work.  i tried to puch the ZIP drive door and it wouldn't buge.  makes me wonder a little bit.  they had 3 imacs there at one time and tried to scam me into buying them. all i wanted was one, but they would only sell it to me cheap if i bought 2.  i said NO.  i've bought stuff from them in the past that have been complete duds, i'm sick of it HAHA.  they got 35$  outta me for a blueberry apple CRT 2 years ago, and it was a dud. they wanted 65$ and i refused to pay that, so i told them look: stop trying to scam people. you guys have no idea if it works and your selling it at an unreasonable price LOL.  oh well.  if i go back for it, their not getting more then 15$ at the most outta me.  its not even worth it, looks like someone spilled coffee all over it!! GRRRR. :-)

Come on man restoration of CRT monitors is here it is at, all you have to worry about is touching the "sensitive" parts.

:) By the way, you should consider opening an Apple museum basement like that one chap did...

For those who haven't viewed Jeremy Mehrl's basement Apple museum, it's well worth a look! Over a quarter million folks have visited his Flicker site.

I have a Newton MessagePad with leather case, 120 v adaptor, fax-modem, manuals, batterie charger, 2 Mb memory card.  Stylus is missing.  Any interest?  Michel.  Michelnaz@yahoo.ca

I have an old Mac 128 or 512 kicking around here if you're interested. I think its an original 128 that was upgraded to a 512. It has the original mouse and keyboard as well.

I have a bunch of legacy stuff I'd like to donate to a good, loving home. :)

Here's a partial list:

- Mac LCIII w/ extra ram (up to 20MB, I believe - 120MB hard drive)
- Monitor for LCIII
- Double-speed SCSI Apple CD-ROM for LCIII w/ SCSI terminator
- Mac Performa 6300 (I think - Whichever is the first-gen PowerPC w/CD)
- Monitor for Performa 6300 - (Damaged plastic top)
- 2 X USR 33.6k baud external modems for Mac
- B/W Stylewriter
- Colour Stylewriter
- Extra Stylewriter cartridges, unopened
- Misc Mac keyboards and mice
- Various system and misc disks (floppy and CD)
- A couple of other things I'm forgetting

These systems were well loved and used for many years, and are all in good working condition.  They're well past their useful life for me, but I'd love to see them saved from a landfill by someone who will give them the love they deserve.

If anyone is interested, please don't hesitate to email me.

Cheers,

Mekki

Hi,

mac_junkie1 has claimed everything in the above post.  I have a bunch of additional stuff that I'm giving him first shot on too.  What's left I'll post here in case there is interest.

Thanks,

Mekki
