can anyone suggest places to convert a videotape to CD?

I have a training program on old-fashioned video tape that I would like to have converted to CD;
and
I have 35mm colour slides (mine) that I would like digitized so I can reuse the images in ppt presentations.

can anyone suggest where I can get these done?
