Had a friend who needed Internet access for their WIFI-only iPad. They had no Internet but were able to borrow a Rogers Rocket Internet stick. Any Internet stick (Telus, Fido, Bell Mobility) would work for this.

Bought them a MoFi Network MOFI3500-3GN, 3G High Speed Router at Canada Computes for $100. It's a wireless basestation with all the standard bells & whistles -- 802.11n, 4 Ethernet ports, USB print spooling -- and one special trick: in addition to being able to use a Bell DSL or Rogers modem for The Internet connection, it can also use a USB Internet stick. And it's a Canadian solution –– MoFi Networks guarantees compatibility with Canadian USB Internet stick providers: Rogers, Bell, Fido, Telus and more.

Had a setup problem - called tech support after hours! Technician answered at 7pm, walked me through setup and updating the firmware just in case, and concluded it was a bad Rogers Rocket stick. He was right. After I got a replacement stick, it was plug'n'play. Outstanding!
