Support for older Canoscan 2400F

Scanners can be tricky peripherals, and I don't have much experience with them. However it never hurts to try a few things if you have an older scanner that you'd still like to use:

• Try OS X's Image Capture.app found in /Applications/Utilities. You might get lucky.
• Try a 3rd-party driver like VueScan. Hamrick.com provides a free trial.

If the results are not satisfactory, sometimes the ease of integration of a newer device trumps heroic efforts to get an older peripheral working with the latest computers and operating systems.
