Hey MUGOOers!

Get ready for the Super Photo Extravaganza meeting October 26th at 7:30 pm!!!

The agenda is all about photos:  taking, editing, storing, showing, and sharing them.

1. Show, Tell, and Ask.  Who got what? Why is it good? How does it work?
2. Tourbuzz with Glen Elie. A place to showcase your photos
3. Reviewing the photographic qualities and differences between the iPhone 6S and 6S+ with Laurence Head
4. Photoshop substitutes with Glen Sharp. Cheaper solutions for photo editing than the subscription based Adobe Photoshop

The meeting is held at Nepean Public Library Rm 1B (Inside Ben Franklin Place).

The after-meeting meeting is held at the Royal Oak across the street.

See you there!

5. Glen's survey of the MUGOO members in attendance...

MUGOO Crowdsourcing 2015-10-26
The attendance at the meeting was 20 people. The system numbers recorded don't look right because they are too low perhaps because some members declined to answer. The system response count (15) indicates that 5 members don't have a Mac although a followup question indicated that Macs were the main system for members and nobody was using only IOS devices. It also doesn't match the OS X version count which totalled 18. Also I believe there was some confusion because some members have multiple systems of the same type (e.g. iMac and MacBook). Taking this into account if anything the number of different systems should have been more than the number of members.
System Type
Macs
   •   6 iMacs
   •   8 MacBooks
   •   1 Mini
iPad
   •   0 Pro (trick question; not released yet)
   •   9 Regular
   •   2 Mini
iPhone
   •   3 iPhone 5s or earlier (small)
   •   3 Regular iPhone 6
   •   1 iPhone 6+ or 6s+

Operating System Version
Mac OS X
   •   5 - 10.11 El Capitan
   •   8 - 10.10 Yosemite
   •   4 - 10.9 Mavericks
   •   1 - Earlier version
IOS
   •   12 - version 9
   •   1 - version 8
   •   1 - version 7
   •   2 - earlier version

Mac Graphic Vector Editors
Editors presented covered those in use by members with the following additions required:
   •   Sketchbook Pro
   •   NeoOffice / OpenOffice Draw
   •   Google Draw
Only 2 members identified themselves as frequent users of Mac graphic vector software.

Mac Photo Editors
   •   6 - iPhoto users
   •   6 - Photos users
   •   1 - Aperture user

Visual Communication
6 members identified themselves as using presentations (presumably Keynote or Powerpoint). This also is a discrepancy with the graphic vector editor user count of 2 since Keynote and Powerpoint were listed in this category.

Members were asked about their level of expertise with graphic software:
   •   8 - beginner
   •   4 - intermediate
   •   3 - expert

Web Browser
The question was asked "What is your primary Internet browser?":
   •   9 - Safari
   •   4 - Firefox
   •   4 - Chrome
   •   1 - Internet Explorer /Edge (Windows)
