Discussion on OS X 10.7 Upgrade
  - Some members had no problems updating; while others had problems
    Problems:
  - One member had their calendar/address book wiped
    Fortunately they were able to restore from their TimeMachine backup
    Tip: Back up your AddressBook and iCal before any update: File > Export...
    Successes:
  - Another member downloaded the OS X 10.7.2 combo updater

    - As a MobileMe user, when he then went to http://me.com,
       - there was a link to a detailed set of instructions to migrate to iCloud, labeled "Move from MobileMe to iCloud"
          - backup up AddressBook (File > Export...)
          - back up iCal (File > Export...)
          - ensure all devices at 10.7, IOS 5, latest iTunes
    - Upgrade was problem-free

     iTunes Store apps on your computer, iOS devices with your iTunes Store ID (if different)
     
Discussion of problems with Email
- Some members having duplicate emails
   Suggestion: Sympatico doesn't support IMAP like modern mail providers. It only supports POP.
                      This can result in the same messages being continuously re-downloaded.
                      Solution: Move to a modern email provider like gmail.com

Discussion of iPhoto
- A member has duplicate photos in iPhoto
- Note: if you edit a photo in iPhoto, you can always revert back to the unedited photo.
- There are programs which purport to remove duplicate photos from iPhoto library
   Go to http://macupdate.com and search using keywords like "iPhoto", "duplicates", or "dedupe"

Discussion on iPhone 4S
- same dimensions as iPhone4. iPhone 4 cases should work.
- In US, can't buy unlocked yet until November
- In Canada, can buy unlocked from Apple.ca, or as part of a contract just like US
