Good Afternoon to all
I bought a Web Camera, it was not an expensive one but when i plug it in it worked (Picture and sound ).
The sound was very good but the Picture was not.
So i return it and went to another store to buy a more expensive one only to install it and i get a very good Picture but ?
The person at the other end can receive my Picture but no sound
I can receive his Picture and sound
Is there something i am forgeting to do.
The camera provides me with a very good Picture, i would like to keep this Camera
if i can solve the problem of the sound.
I'm amazed that the cheap Camera worked just fine.
And this expensive Camera is giving me problems.

Have you gone into System Preferences -> Sound -> Input to see if your camera can be selected there?

Yes i have gone to Preference and yes my camera is visible in the Input.
In the output i have Line out (Built in Audio)
And my problem is that he cannot hear my voice.

Is the Input volume slider up to its maximum level, when your camera is selected?  When you talk, you should then be able to see the results in the Input level display.

Yes i have checked the Input Volume and it is working.
When i speak the Input level jumps back and forth.
Also Output volume is at full.
Also where it says choose a devise for sound input i have 
Highlighted the Camera which is also USB.

It's me again
I return the Camera again thinking that a different Model might work.
ALAS, it did not.
I went into Skype's questions and answers.
And stated my problem, but only got the answers that i already knew.
So now i'm at a stage where i strongly believe that it is not my problem.
I sent a series of questions and answer to the other person so that he
can check himself, for i do not know what to do anymore.
So i will wait and see what happens.
P.S. i am stillopen for any other suggestions.

Does the other person have his output volume turned down or is mute selected?  Can he hear sounds from other sources other than skype?

Sorry for not keeping you up to date as to what was taking place.
Since last that i posted, i went to Future Shop and tried two different Webcam
named Logitech.
I was told that they were excellent webcam, at least they where expensive.
But they both did not function properly.i still could not get any sound from either one.
Monday i was at Zellers and they had a Webcam.
So i explain my problem to the clerk and unfortunetly he did not have an answer for me.
So i bought, took it home and install it i also told the clerk that it may not function either.
He was very nice about it, he said if it does not work bring it back.
So now this Webcam works Picture and sound (Confusing).
But i still have a problem.
The picture is not clear, is there something that i should be doing that i'm not aware of.
I am open for suggestions.
The problem now is the Picture not being clear.
Is the distance a problem from one person to another, as the person that i am speaking with is in Myrtle Beach.??????????
I'm still open for suggestions.

Well after trying all of those WebCam, and being displeased with every one of them.
I have decide to go and buy one at the Mac Store.
It is very expensive $119.95 plus tax.
I have inquired wether the WebCam will work on my Mac .
And they tell me that it will (I have heard that before) but i have no choice.
So i will keep you posted to the outcome.

Well i brought back the WebCam that i had bought at Zeller.
I went to the Mac Store at 1065 Wellington St.
I explainned my problem to the Clerk and he advised me to purchase a product called (Icecam 2).
Brought it home and tried it and it works beautifully.
The camera have its own sound plus picture, and it also as an adjustment to regulate the Focus.
It is very easy to install, it is a USB.
The store at the Rideau Centre wanted to sell me one at $119.95 plus tax.
This one cost me &50.00 plus Tax.
Big difference in price, then again the one that is &119.95 probably as more features to it.
Nevertheless i am pleased with this one, so i will stick with it.

I feel that i should complete my concern with the Webcam that i bought and still have.
Up till now, it is the best of all the others that i have tried.
I am not telling you that it is the best on the Market.
(You know the old saying you get what you pay for).
I am not downgrading any of the other Webcam that i have tried.
But they did not function on my Computer.
But i feel that thru all fairnest to the others that i have tried.
And did not function on my Computer, i simply want you to keep in mind that
they where not designed only for Mac's.
But of the ones that are designed for Mac's and that is what i am using right now,
which is why it is making a difference.
And another comment that would like to add is the amount of download that your Internet supplier is providing you. ( very important ).
I have look around trying to find a Provider that will provide me with more, and the only answer
i get from them and i quote ( They will provide me up to 5mg, the important word/ is up to/
I have never ever gotten more than 1mg from them.
If you know of anyone who can tell me that they can assure me what i am paying for, well then i am very interested to talk to them.
I am so pertured at the nerve that they  want to charge more and not get any more in MG.
