Good Morning to All
I'm glad Dan as not decided to kick me out.
But i have encountered another problem.
Why does it seem to be so trivial to some people and not others.
Question: I have tried to burn on a DVD Disc a program, Toast will open up for me
but when i drag the software that i wish to burn onto toast, within a few seconds Toast completly disappears.
It as started to do this only lately.
I have used Toast many times with no problems.
So why is it doing this now.
Make it simple Guys.
                                         Have a very good day
                                          And i mean that
I am 78 yrs old and i ask myself where did all the years go
They all seem to have gone by so fast.
And again i wish you'se a very good day

Not out of bounds - but you probably need to wait for more than one day to get an answer. Not everyone checks the message board daily.

Good day to you
Thank you for the Information,i was afraid i might of been out of bounds seeing that it was
not a Mac Software.
                                                             Have a good evening

Hi Plume,

Sounds like Toast is shutting down when you ask it to do something, I think your Toast is toasted... there are some things you could try to restore it to working, but the simplest method is to re-install it.

Perhaps your drive is faulty? Have you tried burning a disk using Finder? First, make sure you are in Finder (does it say Finder beside the  in the menu bar?) If so, then find and select the program, file, or folder that you wish to burn, and select from the File menu - "Burn "filename" to Disc...", where "filename" is the program, file or folder you wish to burn. The Finder will ask you to insert a disc, and aftr you do, burning the disc will commence immediately. If this doesn't work, then perhaps your drive is faulty. If it does work, then Toast is faulty, but you may continue using the Finder to burn disks when necessary.

Hope this helps, and, by the way, I couldn't kick you out even if I wanted to, only the Admins can do that, and we all want you to stay, so - no worries! At least you keep the board active, and as a wise man once said, the only stupid questions are the ones you never ask...

Happy Mac'ing!

You maybe right
I am not a whiz at computers, but i love to tinker with them, and it is a marvellous past time.
I will go forward and try what you have suggested and let you know if i was successful.

Good Morning Dan
I do not want anything to happen to you, for if no one else needs you (i do).
I tried the information that you have given me and i am at this minute Burning a program from the Finder.
So i have to assume that my Toast is really Toasted.
I will erase the software that i have and re-install a new program.
Thank you for the valuable information that you have supplied me with.
Is it not a nice feeling of satisfaction when you are able to help someone.
Thank you again, i am really appreciative of your help.
Have a very, very good day
