Anyone else out there disappointed by some of the service offered by the MacGroup (www.themacgroup.ca)?

I've had terrible customer service experience with them. too. Not sure how these clowns manage to stay in business. At all cost, stay away!

Cyril

The only time I used them (to convert my eMac from 220 to 120V) they did a great job.  They seem to have what I have come to recognize as "the typical Mac tech attitude" (you know the kind), but no complaint on the job done, really.

Not like some other guys who even have "service" in their name...

I have my Mac getting fixed at MacGroup right now;  but there is no way on earth they can be worse than IService Depot.  In fact the whole reason the computer is at MacGroup is because, after 26 days of incompetent technical service and terrible customer relations, IService Depot was unable to do the work.  They couldn't diagnose or fix the problem.  26 days.  26 days!
Unbelieveably bad customer service.  Never ever go there.

Cyril

I must say my experience with iService depot is similar...

My MBP was in the shop twice within a 6 month period with them, and spent a total of about 2 months there (for relatively minor problems).  The fact that the machine had these problems is clearly not their fault. However, I found them almost pathologically non-communicative.  Like no news for days/weeks.  It really felt like they would only do something when I called them, then fall back to sleep (or fix the machine of whoever called them next).

My unique experience with the Mac Group was a lot better.
