I'm using a 2nd monitor with my Imac. It's great. My sister, who lives out of town and is a mac newby, has an Ibook and i want her to set herself a 2nd monitor and was thinking of sending her an adaptor cable. Will this work on an ibook?

Hey,

It should work... I know the adapter that came with my old iBook G3 800 Mhz worked on my dad's iMac G4 1.25 Ghz... Not sure which iMac you are referring to... Might wantt  to Google that before sending her the adapter. NOTE : Extended desktop is not enabled on iBooks - but there are ways to enable it with the "Open Firmware Hack". Some people have created this script which does the dirty work.  No coding, no typing, just point and click. But be warned, this could severely damage your computer if it doesn't meet the requirements. Here's the link :  http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/15401

Good luck!
