I simply want to burn a DVD with a folder containing jpegs.     When I look at iDVD it wants me to start a project with a theme, slideshow etc.    Surely there must be a way to simply burn a DVD containing a folder or not even a folder but just a series of jpegs.     I read the iDVD documentation and it gives no clues.
Would appreciate any assistance that could be provide.
Thanks

On my Emac I back up files onto a DVD as follows:
Do not have IDVD active.
Insert a blank DVD (Can be -R or +R).
Finder will ask you to name the DVD.
Drag the files or folders to the DVD finder window.
Click on the BURN icon.

Thanks to all for your suggestions.
The Finder solution also eventually led me to the Disk Utility so I now have two methods to use.

you can also use Iphoto. If you use iphoto you can go into your library and select the pictures you want to burn a disc of and go to "share" in the apple menu and "burn to disc" its really that simple...im sure you could even make a slideshow in iphoto and then export to idvd and burn the files into a dvd movie to play on your dvd player.

Let me know what option your more intrested in and i will send you a more in depth explination

The finder way is quite simple but I feel it is complicated because it does destroy the use of drag and drop because they only create shortcuts/aliases youy have to copy and paste in order to do that.
