Hi jmlachance,

the list of a dozen or two leading opensource apps that the earlier-posted link leads to are all pretty mainstream, GUI-based and pre-compiled for Mac OS X -- I wouldn't be too nervous to download any of them if it appeared to address a requirement I had.

all the best,

Just reading Macworld and they also have an article about this site, as it turns out.
Question: How do the people who write all these programs make a money out of this? It must be a lot of work. I know some accept donations but some don't. Do some do it just to help all of us users?

Hi guys,

I have found a great which you might be interested in taking a look at. It is a place where all the open source software (free) is displayed. I'm not sure if this has been posted here before but make sure to check it out.
