My SE/30 suddenly lost power while it was powered up and now it just keeps cycling over and over again.  It won't go to the welcome screen.  The little happy face icon comes on and then the cursor appears and then back to the happy face.  I don't have any start up discs for this system 7.5.2.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Russell

You can boot an SE/30 with any System up to 7.5.5.

You can download System 7.5.3 at
http://download.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/English-North_American/Macintosh/System/Older_System/System_7.5_Version_7.5.3/.

WARNING! This consists of 19 system images. You might want to download these to another machine or an external drive and then try to create a Boot disk. Read the Info Text file for detailed instructions.

I came across a System 7.5 Disk Tools, which I put into the Mac and it seemed to cure the problem.  Those image files were a bit complicated to download on my XP PC.  Would have had to get into RawWrite and use DOS command prompts.  Ughh....Especially as I just wanted to sell the old girl.

Thanks anyway!!!
