Any help text i've found says to select the bookmark and press the delete key.  Doesn't work.  Ack.  Help.  I've got too many old ones cluttering things up.  Safari 2.0.2. ....

Thanks in advance!

Hi tjobateh,

That's odd. I'm also running Safari 2.02 (part of OS X 10.4.3), and I click on the "Show All Bookmarks" menuitem under the "Bookmarks" menu. Then I can highlight any bookmark and either press the "delete" key, or select the "Delete" menuitem from under the "Edit" menu.

Do you know if you've added any 3rd-party Safari plugins that might be interfering with Safari's normal bookmark behaviour? What about, creating a new account (using the Accounts preference pane), and adding and then deleting a bookmark in Safari? If this works, then at least you'd have isolated the problem to something specific to your account.

best of luck,

Hi and thanks for replying.  I managed to delete them with the help of my 15 year-old using the same method you mentioned.  I felt silly to have taken the help info as truth but it didn't work (select from bookmarks list then delete).
