One family doesn't have any computer at all and my son gave them an old Mac classic II. (Need a keyboard for that one).
The other family has an old pc that they're naturally having problems with. I have another Classic II that I can give them (again without KB) Both families. I believe, don't have a lot of spare money to buy new. If you have anything better than my Classics II gathering dust in a closet, or at least some keyboards to give away send me a message.
Thanks

JM

Hi JM,

I have a friend who was going to get rid of a Performa computer, which should be in working order.  Are you still looking for this computer?  Let me know and I'll try and see if he still has it.

Cheers!

Still looking for an old adb KB. If anyone has one...

I have a ADB extended keyboard you can have. An ADB mouse, as well. The catch: I'm in Stittsville.

Hi JM,

I think I have good news for you.  I was able to find a Performa 580CD for you, in great working order, including the mouse, ADB keyboard, and Global Village modem.  I just tried it out tonight to make sure that it worked and it does!   It even comes with the original packaging, including plastic that originally covered the computer.  If you still want it, I have to go into Ottawa on Sunday, and we could arrange for you to pick it up.  Let me know.

Hi JM,

I sent an e-mail yesterday, which contains time-sensitive information, to your Sympatico account, but didn't hear back from you.  I thought I'd contact you via Mugoo in case you don't check your Sympatico e-mail often.

Thanks,

Yves

Anybody have some old games or disks that will work on the Mac Performa (oS 7.5) ?

Michael Humphrey

I'm sure I have some old games...

I think I've got a copy of Doom 2 and one of the Marathon titles to spare, plus some stuff from '10 foot Mac Pack', or something like that...

You can let me know if I should bother with the first-person shooter-type games...

It might take me a few days to get back to you, to find and sort them out first, and being so close to Xmas and all.

I'll try to get back to you within the week...

I have many old versions of Mac OS including 7.0, 7.5, 7.6, 7.6.1, 8.0, 8.5, 9.0, 9.1, X
I can't imagine needing half of these. Could be a loan or a gift.

Thanks for the offer. For the moment, I believe we don't have a need for any OS disks. I'll make a note of your offer. The folks I'm giving the computers to don't have any experience with Macs so I imagine they'll spend more time just playing around with them for a while. New to macs myself this year so can't be sure if we would need them or not. I have copies of 7.5 (not original) for the Performa 580 cd and 9.1 for an old Imac 333. I believe that games and applications programs may be all we need..

Hi there,

I just registered at MUGOO to find a good home for my old MAC and came across your message.  I'm happy to give it to someone in need - just don't want to put it in the dumpster.

It's a Power Mac G3 beige desktop. Last of the SCSIs.  128 MB ram, 4 GB HD, running OS 9.1, a/v card, CD drive in need of repair, ZIP drive working.  Should be internet able.  Keyboard and mouse comes with it but I'm presently planning on keeping the monitor.

Let me know if you are interested.

J.

Are you still in need of an old Mac for this situation?

AylmerQc

Thanks all for the help and offers. I don't need anymore computers, just, if anyone has some lying around, some old games or programs that will work with os 7.5. I have a system with os disk but no other disks to go with it. I had a bunch of these myself but gave them away some time ago not thinking that there would be a need for them again....

Michael Humphrey

jferrabee, I'd be interested in saving your Mac from a dumpster.
Check you private messages/email.
