Firefox master password

Thanks for the link to the article regarding the master password.  However, I don't see that Firefox 3 on my computer has that Options> Password and Master Password.  Has anyone got an answer to it?  I do see that I can 'clear private data', but it's a bit more cumbersome than the master password idea.
