The optical drive seems to be dead.  It is a CD/RW drive, but out of the last 10 CDs I put in the machine today only 2 mounted and played.  Might just be dirty, but we all know Apple's history with these drives so it's probably dead and you'll need to replace it.  You can still buy a brand new superdrive for this unit for about $120 US (I've seen them for as low as $89 retail, and $49 on e-bay).  I used an external firewire drive to load the OS and other than this issue, the machine works great and looks great - one small scratch on the cube, other than that it looks brand new. 

You can look at the machine, verify it's working, and then I'll pack it up for you in the original Apple boxes for both the screen and CPU.  Talk about added value!!! ACT NOW!!!
