iphoto

[perplexed]

In trying to restore photos to iphoto the following message came up:

Unreadable files: 1
The following file could not be imported. (The file is in the iphoto library folder.)

I had over 2000 pictures in iphoto and have found 900 photos, but  I don't know if the above message is in regard to the 900 that are back in iphoto or off the missing 2000

Can you suggest anything?

Not sure if we understand what you mean by "restore"-ing pictures to iPhoto. How and why are you restoring pictures, and what version OS/iPhoto are you using?
