Keyboard short cuts and other simple questions

Where can I find a complete list of all the keyboard shortcuts (using Panther). My wireless mouse stopped working and it was tough trying to get around the menus.

Also, having just switched from a pc and not had the time to read up on this: What's up with the 1 click mouse instead of the 2 button mouse? I'm aware of the debate about this and just having a computer that works reliably with no viruses is worth the inconvenience of learning to use a different mouse. If a 2 button mouse will work on an Imac, will any brand do?
I'm telling friends and family about Macs but eventually I'll have to explain about this mouse thing so I need some answers...

Lastly, are there shortcuts on a Mac for international symbols? On a pc it's the alt key and a combination of 3 numbers...

Thanks (again)

Just control click, it will do the same thing as the right mouse button. Pretty much any usb mouse will work with your mac. Enjoy

Hi jmlachance,

re: international characters, adding diacritical marks is pretty easy to remember on the mac, once you get the hang of it. As opposed to 3-diigit codes on the PC, instead you use the keyboard thusly:

option-<diacritical mark>-letter. Option-<diacritical mark> doesn't advance the cursor, so the next letter typed, gets the diacritical mark on it.

So for example, to place an accent ague on an 'e', you'd press:
option-e
and then
e

For an accent grave, you'd press
option-`
and then
e

To find the unlabelled diacritical marks on the Mac keyboard, there's a Keyboard viewer, but it is not obvioius where to find it. Open the International preference pane, and click "Show input menu in menubar". Then, from the 'flag' icon which then shows up in the Mac's menubar, select "Show Keyboard Viewer". When you press your option key, you'll see all the diacritical marks highlighted in the Keyboard viewer.
