You're very welcome Plume! I think you may still find you occasionally need Firefox as well as Safari, but until you meet a website that will not play well with Safari, leave it be. I find fewer and fewer websites that will not work with Safari.

Most people who create websites, myself included, try to make sites that conform to web standards, and not to a particular browser or "plug-in" like Flash or Acrobat. Unfortunately, not everyone believes in the same web religion, and people become entrenched in the "way I learned to do it". This may be why you still see the odd website that is targeted at a particular browser - usually MS Internet Explorer - using technologies that are embedded in certain operating systems that all begin with the word "Windows", and do not play well on "other" platforms.

Strangely, when I do run across one of these sites, they tend to belong to either huge corporations or major government agencies. You see, once they got invested in the world of MS' IIES servers, Front Page, .NET and VBScript technologies , they could not get out of it. Like dinosaurs.
