I am running out of space in my house for camera equipment, gaget bags, computers, and bird cages!  In order to avoid an imminent mental breakdown, this machine is for sale.

It hasn't been used in about 3 years plus, so it's not as old as you might think.  It has a lot of software on board, like Photoshop CS and Dreamweaver.  I think I have set a fair price at $400.  Prefer interested persons (even gripers, naysayers, and put-down artists) to email me at my address below.  I also have a Lacie Electron19Blue III CRT monitor, if you're into graphic arts at all.

The model number is A1047.  I've added an additional internal drive, upped the RAM to 1.5 GB, and I have a 512 MB graphics card recommended by Apple as the appropriate upgrade, but which proved problematic.  But you can have both the original and the upgrade cards.

Sound  levels, like when you buy a bathroom exhaust fan. You read the ratings in sones on the label to find a quiet one...

Ahhh, yes, that's not given - and some Macs are pretty loud! Colours? Actually it does give the colour when it's important, e.g., iMac gumdrops, iBook clamshells, etc., otherwise - no it doesn't, hmmmm - a suggestion for the developer! I know Apple used to publish the "sones" for their laser printers, as that was a competitive factor, and it was expressed in decibels@x distance - a measure that I can relate to - sones are a "subjective" measure(?), equal to 40 "phons" - another "perceived" loudeness - anybody have a conversion for decibels/sones? Guess I'll have to wiki that one!

Hi. I am very interest but would like to know the following.

1. Do you have the original install discs?
    OS X
    Photoshop CS
    Dreamweaver

2. I'm pretty sure it can but do you know if you can also run OS 9.2.2?
    I have some very expensive older software that I need OS 9 to run.
