I have a 15 inch MacBook Pro and would like to upgrade the 250 gig hard drive to the largest possible.
Does anyone know what size hard drive I can upgrade to and do I need to install an Apple hard drive or can I use any suitable size hard drive. Thank you!

Hey Mohawk,

You can put, or have put in if you have AppleCare (self-mods like this void your AppleCare) virtually any 1.5GB/sec SATA hard drive that physically fits AND connects properly into your MBP. A quick check (new capacities coming every few months) today shows 2.5 in. SATA drives are available in up to at least 500GB capacities right now at around $179, 320GB can be had for around $129.

Happy Mac'ing!

Dan
