mini-VGA to VGA adapter. Looking to buy or borrow

I want to check if lack of display on a 17"  iMac G4 is just a problem with the LCD, or a broader motherboard graphics issue. If you have a compatible mini-VGA to VGA (or DVI or composite or S-Video) adapter that I can buy or borrow, let me know.
