I need to restore some drivers from the Tiger discs.  I have a retail copy but it is only for Power PC.  Anyone have the Intel discs to sell or lend long enough for me to extract the files?

Thanks

Unfortunately I don't have the appropriate discs being sought.

However your question of a PPC vs an Intel version of retail OS X discs intrigued me. I had always thought that the retail OS X products only came in one version. The complication of course is that Tiger (OS X 10.4) was released in April 2005, and pre-dated Apple's move to Intel by several months -- as Steve Jobs did not announce Apple's intended move to Intel until June 2005, at that year's World Wide Developer Conference.  As usual wikipedia was able to shed some light:

"Tiger was initially available in a PowerPC edition, with an Intel edition released beginning at 10.4.4; there is no universal version of the client operating system, although Tiger Server was made available on a universal DVD from version 10.4.7. While Apple shipped the PowerPC edition bundled with PowerPC-based Macs and also sold it as a separate retail box, the only way to get the Intel version was bundled with an Intel-based Mac. However, there were still unofficial places to buy the Intel version such as eBay, although the only Intel discs produced were the gray-colored "restore" DVDs supplied with new Macs that will only install on the model of Mac that they are intended for, unlike the retail DVD that can be used on any Mac supported by Tiger."  wikipedia.org/wiki/Os_x_tiger

So in order to get an "intel" OS X Tiger (10.4) disc one would presumably need the non-retail, gray-coloured "restore" DVD.
