Post by: drutledge4445 on September 07, 2006, 01:03:08 AM
Hi,

Is there anyone who has a little UNIX experience that could help me out with a few basics surrounding UNIX and the installation of MySQL?  Your help greatly appreciated . . .

Hi Dave,

Marc Liyanage at entropy.ch has a nice MySQL installation recipe:

Assuming you'll also be using MySQL with PHP, Marc also has an excellent PHP with all the bells and whistles recipe:

Unless a topic contains erroneous information, it is never deleted. For Sale items are archived when they go stale, but all the other posts are left as is. This allows the next person coming to MUGOO to find out about topic "x" (say, how to install MySQL) with a simple search.
