I've just made the switch from pc life - picked up a new macbook - and I'd like to find a program for mac like net snippets for pc's. I understand you can run net snippets on a mac with virtual pc, but virtual pc doesn't work yet on the new intel-based macs. anyone know of a program I could use instead? (for those of you who don't know, net snippets allows you to manage internet content for research, etc.) oh yeah, and if anyone wants to know what the new macbook is like, I'd be happy to give you some feedback. thanks!
Hi Christine,
Not entirely sure to what you are referring to... Does anyone know if Sherlock is still available under OS X? It was a great program to find info on almost anything...
There are a few programs available that query multiple search engines at the same time making the search a much easier task.
QuickSearchX - http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/15148
SearchX 1.0 - http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/14058
Let us know how you like them.
Cheers

thanks for your reply, sam. net snippets isn't used for finding information, however. it's used for managing information found on the web. it can capture and save 'snippets' of text or images, or entire web pages, then you can organize and share them. it's great for saving and organizing news stories, for example. it's kind of like a bookmarking application, only with more capabilities. check it out at www.netsnippets.com for more info. I've found webnote happy for mac, but it doesn't have the capabilities I'm looking for. hope this helps to clarify what I'm after...
Sorry about that... In that case I would recommend you an application that I use personally called Yojimbo. It is made by the guys at BareBones software... http://www.barebones.com/products/yojimbo/index.shtml
Works great ! I'm pretty sure it does what you're looking for. Let me know how you like it.

Thanks very much, Sam. It looks like that program will be sufficient, and in fact seems "smarter" than NetSnippets in terms of what it's able to do. Thanks for the recommendation and for the keyboard shortcuts!
