I've just joined and this is my 1st post, I've ben having a little problem with my powerbook. It won't start.
When I push the power button, nothing happens, the screen stays balck, no apparent power comes on. The odd time a small green light will appear for a short period of time and then bye bye. Any ideas?

Well it could be very simple or it could be a little more complex. It is definitely going to need a visit to a Local Apple Service Provider. It could be as simple as a PMU (Power Management Unit) battery or something more.
One thing to be aware of, due to the age of the book it will be tough to get parts for it. It is a Vintage/Obsolete book according to Apple Service so they are no longer producing parts for it. Good Luck with it.
