Title: Virtual PC
Post by: randy on February 22, 2006, 03:42:15 PM
Looking for feedback on Microsofts Virtual PC for the Mac.

Has anyone tried it with a PC version of Quickbooks?

I'd say avoid it if possible. Buy a used/refurbed pc and use that!

I have no issues with Virtual PC.

I use it likely three or four times a day for various reasons.  It cannot be used for intensive games but my mom does use Virtual PC to load up Hoyle's just fine.  My dad uses it for wordperfect since he has 10 years of documents in WP.  For myself I use it for home and work (on both Mac's and PCs)

The speed isn't great - it works.

I don't have an extra PC around and use Virtual PC for a few reasons:
- I load up multiple VM's (virtual machines) to connect to multiple client networks
- I'll use it to load up dangerous software that I only need for a moment that I cannot put on my work laptop
- I hate using PC's on a regular basis - they take up too much space, they're loud and ugly.

I'm still working on getting a virtual pc to use a bluetooth connected device but supposedly it is possible.
