Title: Mac courses in Ottawa area
Post by: frannyhammer on January 24, 2006, 01:59:24 PM
Hello all,
Just found out about Mugoo.  Thank God there are other Mac users in Ottawa.  Are there hands on courses anywhere in this area for a somewhat beginner computer user converted to Mac 3 yrs ago.  We are a family of four using Microsoft Office, itunes and iphoto.  We would love to become proficient with a Mac.   There is one on line course through Algonquin and that seems to be it.  Any ideas.  Any contacts of people who might do some teaching.  Thanks, Fran

Hi,

I've been using macs for many years now and I'd be glad to offer you with some training. Weather you want to learn OS X, iLife Suite, iWork, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, I'm here to help.

E-mail me at themacguy7@gmail.com

Don't know of any courses but the Apple web site has a lot of info in it's Support section . Mac 101 or something of the sort, in case you hadn't seen it.

When I took a PhotoShop course at the Ottawa School of Art (in the Byward market), they had several Macs - about a third of the computers in the room. It was easy for me to always have a Mac in class.
If you want to take one of their courses, I suggest you call and ask if they have enough Macs still.
