Title: Google Earth for Mac Now Available
Post by: alexn on January 11, 2006, 08:34:23 AM
For those interested in such things, Google has just released a beta version of Google Earth for Mac OS 10.4.

See: http://earth.google.com/

This application lets you zoom in from satellite shots to see any given piece of geography  and add selectively add roads, terrain, hotels etc.  You can also give it two locations and it will give you driving directions to get between them.

It worked fine on my Mac and the animation as it moves between locations is fun to watch. However it's a bit out on street addresses, for all the spots I tried if tagged a house either two to the east or two to the west. My guess is that it's working off postal codes.
