Title: Cheap firewire cables?
Post by: zygoat on November 27, 2005, 08:48:18 PM
Yall,

I'd like to obtain a firewire cable (6-6 pin), ideally only 16-18 inches long, to connect between the iSight magnetic mount and the FW jack on the rear of my new 20" Cinema display.

I happened to be in a Best Buy today (stop laughing) and noted that Apple commands 40 to 50 dollars for a mid-length cable!  Outrageous.  Can anyone recommend a local shop who deals such things (standard cables and components) at a reasonable price?  (Neither shoprbc.com nor oemexpress.com seem to have firewire...)

Thanks, I did not notice that on the site when I checked earlier.  However, that appears to be ten FEET, which is about 8 times longer than I want. ;)

Nonetheless, for 13 bucks maybe I ought to just coil it up.
