Does System Profiler indicate that it is "Apple supported" under OS X 10.3.x  ?
What is the name and version of the Mac software that comes with it  ?

The drive has full Disc Burning support under the System Profiler (I am running Mac OS X 10.4) However, I did burn discs in 10.3 before I upgraded using iTunes, without any problems. The one exception is when using Apple's iDVD software, which requires an internal "SuperDrive" to burn video DVD's. However, by installing a software patch from www.patchburn.de, you can use external burners such as this one with iDVD.

The LaCie drive I am selling comes with Toast Lite 6.0.7 for Mac OS 10.2.8 or higher, and Toast Lite 5.2.2 for Mac OS 9.2. It also comes with SilverKeeper (backup software) for Mac OS 10.2.8 or higher.
