Title: PowerBook 145b Screen
Post by: mac_junkie1 on July 21, 2012, 03:15:19 AM
Hi All.

Yes, I'm still plugging away at vintage crap.  Found a PowerBook 145b at Value Village today and bargaining down to 4.99$ I wasn't gonna complain :-p.  Obviously no powercable or anything, but I had one in my backline.

Anyways, I turned it on and it booted (yeaaa spare HDD for parts), and it worked and all, but the screen progressively got whiter even on the lowest "contrast" option.

Never seen this before, so for fun, what's its problem.  I'm OBVIOUSLY not gonna shell out money to fix it, but I am curious to whats wrong with it.  I don't believe I have a Service Manual for the 145b.  I have some, but not that one.

THANKS!
