Title: old software & diskettes
Post by: GNV on July 13, 2012, 10:33:39 AM
What is the current recommended way to dispose of old software, old 3.5" diskettes and other space-hogging material?  Can I strip the dikettes with an old de-gaussing/demagnetizing magnet thing (Radio Shack). I do know that Habitat Restore will now take old electronics for recycling and that's a group doing good things with their money, so I'll take old monitors and probably old computers to them.  Any other ideas?
Thanks.

Just bought a new shredder and it comes with a built in CD shredder slot, so maybe Staples will shred cd's and floppies for you..?
