Each November, the MUGOO Executive are set for the following year. Besides a few appointed positions, there are five positions that are elected by members. These positions are:
1) President
2) Vice President
3) Meeting Coordinator
4) Treasurer
5) Secretary
What does it mean to be on the Executive? First and foremost, you help plan and facilitate each monthly meeting. This means that you attend the planning meeting (~2 hrs) a few weeks before the meeting. You also help make occasional decisions on behalf of the club on matters such as meeting locations and financial expenditures. Finally, you are an ambassador for the club wherever you go.
We would like all members to consider running for a position. Please inform everyone about your candidacy by replying to this post prior to 12PM on November 22. Include the following information in your post:
a) Your name
b) The position sought
c) some form of contact information
Optionally, you can include additional details about yourself. Alternatively, you can submit your details an email to exec@mugoo.com
The election will be held at the beginning of the November meeting. All candidates will be provided up to 5 minutes to address the audience. The secret votes will be cast after the last presenter and results will be counted immediately.
