Hi Plume
The reason I asked about LimeWire is that I personally and professionally discourage anyone from using it, or any other peer-to-peer(P2P) or torrent-type applications. The reason is simple, these transport programs are the second-leading cause of self-inflicted contamination on PCs - the first being pop-ups and other ads promising "FREE STUFF". This has caused untold headaches for PC users, and lots of welcome income for PC techs, but we are NOT immune just because we use Macs. Here's a quote from Wikipedia's entry on LimeWire:
QuoteOne investigation showed that of 123 randomly selected downloaded files, 37 contained malware – about 30%.[10] In mid 2008, a Macintosh trojan exploiting a vulnerability involving Apple Remote Desktop was distributed via LimeWire affecting users of Mac OS X Tiger and Leopard.
These services, though tempting, will always (well, one-out-of-three times) have a bad result.
I hope you have a nice day Plume, and I only post this as an advisory, so please continue to enjoy your Mac and its appetite for digital media, just be careful how you exchange data, and who you're exchanging with. So...
Happy Mac'ing!
Dan

I did not know about the information that you have supplied.
I will very seriously consider your advise.
On the other hand, if i had not put in the comment concerning Limewire, i definitely would not
of known about the information that you have supplied us.
And yes, without the question, you do not get a valuable answer, such as you have provided us.
Thank you, Thank you
