Good evening to all,The Tall and the Small
I have been able to delete the Files with the Quicktime Logo.
My question is:
How do i delete the Folders which are situated in the Library.
I have tried holding down the Option Key and then highlight the Folders and drag them to the
Trash.
But it will not erase them.
Any suggestion would be helpful

Hello Plume
You can't, or perhaps shouldn't, be throwing away folders from you /Library folder - that's the main Library folder you see when you first open your hard drive, unless you are using an administrator account or can supply the username/password for an administrator. You should NEVER throw files/folders away from your System/Library folder, and should never need to anyways. Not sure what you're trying to delete, but it's usually not a good idea to mess with the files in there - what are you trying to do?
And why does your subject line read "Limewire"?
Curious, and...
Happy Mac'ing!

Good Evening Dan
Thank you for your quick response
I used the word LimeWire, for that is where my problem is.
I looked in the help section in the Menu, but did not find an answer for my problem.
So here goes, it is sometimes difficult to explain in writing .
Please, i am not complainning do not get me wrong
I downloaded a program which i have done before but this time instead of getting a Quicktime Logo .avi, i ended up by getting a folder with the .avi inside the folder.
I was able to open the folder and download the file from within the folder .
So, now that i was able to do that, i now do not need the folder or the file within
and i would like to erase the folder for i have no need for it anymore
Gee i hope you understand all of this
Have a good evening folks

Hi Plume,
Holding down the option key while dragging a file or folder to a different destination creates a copy of the original, so it would seem you are dragging a copy of the file/folder to the trash, leaving the original items just as they were...
Try simply dragging the folder or file to the trash individually or together, without the option key.
Happy Mac'ing!!!
