Hello, wondering if an airport express card would work in a powermac G4 quicksilver dual 800 mhz. secondly if OSX 10.5 leopard would load onto the same machine. Thanks, any info would be appreciated.
I think you mean the Airport Extreme Card? - as there is no Airport Express Card, the Airport Express is a base module, but the 802.11b Airport Card is supported for your machine. Your Quicksilver G4 will run 10.4.11, but not 10.5. Ironically, the single-processor 867 and 933MHz Quicksilvers CAN run up to 10.5.8. Yes, your eight-year old computer has been abandoned by Apple... those ba$tards...
Happy Mac'ing

There's a difference between working and supported. Apple's minimum requirements for Leopard exclude your DP 800 G4. However, lots of people happily run Leopard on less capable machines than yours. Here are some tips: http://lowendmac.com/osx/leopard/unsupported.html
Yes, I'd almost forgotten the "kludge" solution - if you really want to try this, the simplest method is to hack the script that pre-tests your Mac for the right processors and configurations, and that hack is well-documented on the site given above. It is a very simple hack, and I have done it myself to get Leopard running on my Dad's older PowerBook - and had to do the same hack to get iLife '08 running as well! Some limitations apply - mostly Quartz Graphics-related problems, i.e. some Keynote and iMovie transitions won't work, Front Row may be disabled, etc., but overall, it works, and keeps you just one rev behind the curve, for now...
Happy Hacking!
