If you're running Snow Leopard aka OS X 10.6, and have an HP, Canon, Brother and/or Lexmark printer(s) defined in your print queues, you were automatically be notified last week of one or more of these 16-Nov-2009 updates through the
Software Update Preference Pane.
However you were only notified of the update for the specific brand of printer you were using. If, like me, you are using say, a Canon printer, but would like to have the latest drivers for the HP printers just in case, you would need to manually download them.
As always, if you don't need 'em, and you're working fine, consider leaving well enough alone. However if you like the latest, and you keep regular backups, help yourself:
