Ok I have a problem, my once good Powerbook is dead. The logic board is dead inside the machine and apple will not cover it under Applecare saying it's "physical damage" because the little white connector broke off. Here is what I'm offering:
Powerbook 12 inch G4 1ghz (dead logic board)
100GB Seagate 5400RPM HD (Brand new, nothing installed on it)
1.25 gb ram (1gb samsung upgrade, never used)
8x DVD Superdrive (with dual layer, upgrade)
Working 12 inch screen
New battery with 5hr hold (never used)
Used 2nd battery with 2hr charge
NO APPLECARE ANYMORE :-(
I need to get some of my costs back so I can one day buy another 12 inch powerbook as I completely broke right now. Do you guys recommend selling this all together or in parts?
Let me know
PS: PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THE NEW UPGRADES COST ME $886 CDN, I HAVE THE RECEIPT TO PROVE THIS. The powerbook is still in flawless cosmetic condition. Someone please help me out :-( I have a connection in Ottawa to get the Logic board replaced for $685.00 CDN and also I know of some places in the states that might be able to do it at a lower cost. The reason I'm not going this route is because I need a machine now now now (even if it's used) as I have summer classes :-(
Hey applelover
I have the same problem - I got a 15" Titanium Powerbook with a Powerbook and Apple also doesn't want to touch it. Also a student and broke. Sorry I couldn't help but I figured since we were in the same boat commiserating is always good :P
