Hello everyone,
I'm a 1st time Mac owner, got my shiny new iMac about 3 weeks ago, LOVING IT so far!
The only thing I can't seem to find is decent financial software, i.e. something similar to Quicken for Mac.
I bought the Quicken Mac version, but it doesn't have all the forecasting features the Windows version did. I tried iBank, same thing.
I've downloaded several trial versions of other software, but none of them work the way my Quicken for windows did. I contacted Intuit
and they replied that Quicken will no longer be supported for Mac platforms (bummer).
The feature I'm looking for is something that will have a calendar with all my upcoming transactions, including income, and that
updates the balances on a DAILY basis, using the planned transactions.
Anyone have any ideas on this, or know of something?
Thanks!
I'm using Mac Quicken 2005 and I have no problem doing what you describe by using "Scheduled Transactions".
Can you view daily balances in your calendar? Quicken 2007 for Mac didn't have this feature.
I've never used Calander. When I checked the answer is "No".
When I start Quicken, the accounts I use open automatically. The balances are always there to be seen in the rightmost column.

Hi, I haven't used it but there's a Canadian developer selling Liquid Ledger (http://www.liquidledger.com/). There's also Money (http://moneydance.com/mac) Dance (http://www.squawkfox.com/2008/05/26/review-moneydance-2008-a-quicken-alternative/)
There's also a somewhat dated MacWorld review, and it sounds like you've looked at least one of the items on their list:
8 Great Quicken alternatives, Aug 2007 (http://www.macworld.com/article/59617/2007/08/money_alternatives.html)
good luck and don't forget to post if you find something good!
