I'm trying to view a live streaming video and the response is that I need the following "audio/x-pn-realaudio plug in". Can I use Quicktime 7.5.5 for this and how.
Thanks

Umm, I don't think so, but there are a lot of 3rd-party codecs for QuickTime. Is there a reason you don't wish to use the free RealPlayer for this streaming video? http://www.real.com/player/, and look for the blue "Get RealPlayer11-FREE" button in the upper-right.

Yeah I know what you mean. With the free version of the Flip4Mac (http://www.flip4mac.com/wmv_download.htm) component for QuickTime, I no longer need the separate Windows Media Player (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/mac/mp9/default.aspx) application in order to view streaming .wmv files. But I don't think there's an equivalent QuickTime add-on component for streaming RealPlayer files yet. Of course if it's a downloaded video file rather than a streaming video feed, then the free VLC (http://www.videolan.org/) has been able to read everything I've thrown at it so far.
