Title: HP 1320tn wont print
Post by: rodney on August 07, 2008, 03:49:20 PM
Since installing Leopard on my Mac book when I have VMware Fusion running I can not print on my HP1320 on my ethernet network.  My HP2200 works OK.  What do I do now?

Make sure you have the latest VM updates too! Then, standard Windows advice - delete the printer and re-install. This is most likely a Windows network problem since it's an HP network printer. Is your HP2200 connected via USB or ethernet? Network printers can use several protocols to communicate with their clients, and HP usually uses JetDirect - their own flavour of LP printing over TCP/IP.

Apart from the good advice above, one other approach you may wish to consider is to take advantage of a VMWare Fusion feature. I don't know if this feature is available in VMware Fusion 1.13 -- but in the VMware Fusion 2.0b2 I'm running, one of the Guest PC settings is: "Match the default printer on the Mac".  This of course assumes that you have no problem printing to your HP1320 from OS X.
