Title: Closing Safari Windows
Post by: MacMoore on August 03, 2008, 11:37:34 AM
I am currently using Safari 3.1.2 on a PowerMac G4 867 MHz Quicksilver running OSX 10.4.11
I am unable to close windows (in Safari only) by clicking upper-left red dot or choosing "Close Window" from the File menu or  using the Command-W key combination.
I can select "Merge All Windows" from the Window menu, which will convert all windows to tabs that I am able to close.
I have used Pacifist to reinstall Safari from OSX 10.4 retail and it then corrects the problem until I do any kind of upgrade to Safari when the problem returns again.
I am not sure what I did to caused the initial problem.  As you can see I have a workaround, but I would like to have Safari function as intended.
Any tips on what I could do to try and solve this would be appreciated.

Brian

Just upgraded to OS X 10.5 Leopard, Safari windows now close just fine.  Thank you.
