Title: iPod to iBook issue...
Post by: virousselib on June 30, 2008, 08:45:22 PM
Hi again.
I've connected my new iPod classic to my iBook G4. I have OSX 10.3.9 and had thought that the iPod would simply connect via iTunes without issue. Apparently, I can't use my iPod connected to iTunes unless I have OSX 10.4 (at least that's the alert message I get).
So here's the question: is there any way to copy music onto the iPod from an older OS? Until now, I didn't think there would be a version issue...

Thanks,
virousselib.

Nope. Here's the scoop from the packaging on your iPod Classic:

• Mac OS X v10.4.9
or later
• iTunes 7.6
or later

Sorry, didn't the salesperson ask you that question? Where'd you buy your iPod?

Happy Mac'ing (mostly)

Dan

D'oh!

Apparently my cognitive faculties were offline at the moment I submitted the question.

I appreciate the response, though.

Regards,
virousselib,
(currently using a PC to connect and upload to the iPod in case anyone was wondering...)
