I was reading here that it's not a good idea to have my e-mail address listed on this site.
If you check my profile, I have all my ids listed in case persons (specially the cute female ones) would like to contact me.
Would it be advisable then to have them removed?
What about the SMF conversion of e-mail addresses to a link thingy.........how do I go about it?

The only reason not to list an email address is to avoid the robot spiders that harvest addresses from message boards and then send you spam. Some people try to obscure their address with extra words, but lots of spiders know these tricks. So for example, fredREMOVETHIS@example.com. Another technique that doesn't create a link but does show the address is "fred at example dot com".
If your email address was fred@example.com you can make a "mailto" link on the page by just entering the email address exactly like that. SMF will automatically insert the "mailto:" markup.
I would suggest that you reduce the number of requests you are making for "cute female dance partners" - you are starting to sound desperate!
Note that as a registered user you can modify your profile at any time and you can also edit any of your posts. So if you feel a need to remove your email address, you can do it yourself whenever you wish.
Unfortunately, listing an email address anywhere is more trouble than it's worth these days, as Adminman has explained.
One useful thing is to get a Gmail/Hotmail or similar type account to use at some websites where you have to give an email address to get in/sign up/download something.All the resulting junk mail and spam will go there instead of your actual email address.
This has saved much grief...my main email account is spam-free;all the crud goes somewhere else.
