This isn't as off-topic as it sounds, there's some issue with my computer that's making this internet app not work, and it previously did work.
I'm a fan of the "Scrabulous" game on facebook, and it's been working fine (or thereabouts, when it didn't work for me it was down for others as well) until about 10 days ago.
At that time it would hang during "verifying move". It fixed itself though- I had written to the help desk and they said everything should be working soon again, and by the time they wrote back to me it was.
Then about 4 days ago it started doing it again. This time I tried downloading their recommended browser "Firefox", tried purging browser cookies and cache, and tinkering with settings on the site itself, but nothing helped. Their help desk just said "everything is fine, check your internet connection" but that's a little vague, everything else on the 'net was working and Scrabulous had been too prior to this.
But I tried my Scrabulous account on another (PC) computer and it works fine over there, so it's something with my computer itself.
Any ideas? I didn't change anything prior to this (my Leopard installation was weeks ago). I'm on a G4, 10.5.2, using Netscape 7.2 (old, but I like it), but it also doesn't work with Navigator, Explorer, Safari or Firefox.
I just wanted to update and say it fixed itself after I played my moves on a different computer.
I'd still love to hear any tips anyone might have as it was some sort of issue with my computer- are there hidden files (other than cookies, as that didn't work) that I would need to purge in instances like this to get things moving again?
