Oops. Damned feline-based marketing.

The Leopard Roars! But... beware that Leopard turns your firewall off if you upgrade Tiger, and new Macs ship with the firewall off. This isn't a big deal if you're behind a router, but is if you're directly connected to the internet (no router/firewall) or using wi-fi/mobile connections. Beware! Turn it back on!

Otherwise - WOW! Leopard kick's Vista's fat behind, though that isn't difficult with Vista lying on the ground gasping for breath. Hehe.

Dan, tell me about the Finder. Does it still leave DS_STORE and TRASHES folders on your external USB media? And is it still clumsy when connecting to Samba shares (have to authenticate for each one on a server instead of behaving the way Linux and --egad-- MS Windows do)?

Have you upgraded your Core Solo Mini yet?

I suspect DS_STORE and TRASHES are still with us - but I'll let you know. You'd think they'd have had SAMBA working correctly (as in Win and Lin) by now!? I'l report back - still trying to figure out if ZFS is supported as well - a little unclear whats going on there...
Haven't installed on my Solo yet - but that's next on my list - no production machines going to Leopard ... yet!
Dan

BTW - Leopard boots machines older than G4 866MHz - from an external drive. Can it be Carbon Copied to an internal? Don't know yet/but it works on my ancient G4 500 Sawtooth!
