I've purchased a used pair of MacPro speakers only to find that they can't be connected to any of the Macs I have without the use of a Griffin iFire adapter (which is not available anymore). Anyone have suggestions on a "workaround" or where to find an iFire?
Thanks
Unless you find a retailer who still has one in stock, I think you may be out of luck - our suppliers have none in their warehouses. However, a quick google for "griffin ifire" turned up this link:

And then there's always e-bay...
Too bad, those are great little speakers!

The speakers sound great when connected to a sound card that incorporates an amplifier (as the G4 Macs had). They sound cheap if you connect them to anything else. (I can give you a pair to test if you want proof.)
The "Bonanza" link won't get you anything. If you find an iFire anywhere these days, people are asking (and getting!) $200 for them.
My advice is not to throw more good money after bad. They were nice speakers... buy current technology instead.
